Luxury at it's Best

The lodge offers well appointed accommodation in the form of Rondavel chalets. All of the 35 units are air-conditioned; with an en-suite shower and tea/coffee making facilities. The décor is bright, colorful and contemporary, offset by the warm wood of the furniture and 'sleeper' floors. Each of the rooms has its own semi private patio, the perfect vantage point to soak in the beautiful vista of the dam and surrounding hills; or for those bird lovers, to catch a glimpse of a fish eagle going about his business.

Dining at Maguga Lodge is an epicurean delight. The striking Lapa Restaurant is a piece of art. On two walls are vibrant murals depicting scenes of everyday life. A local artist, Ray, has built the scenes off the wall and added real elements to give them a totally 3D effect. A wooden deck enveloping the front of the restaurant is the perfect “chill out” zone with is comfortable cushioned loungers. There’s no better place to unwind with your cool 'Maguga Special' cocktail in hand whilst taking in the sunset. The restaurant offers a diverse a la carte menu, aimed at tantalizing those taste buds. On Sundays the atmospheric restaurant comes alive with a delectable buffet lunch. So next time you're stuck for something to do on a Sunday afternoon, take a leisurely drive out and sample the chef’s offerings.
